About Me

My photo
Callie Sharkey
I got my aircraft mechanic's license fresh out of high school, but always wanted to be a marine biologist. (Thank you, Star Trek IV - my cat was actually named Gracie) I worked on planes while completing an AS in Aviation Management, then I moved on to a BS in Marine Biology and Psychobiology. I have worked in the field doing conservation, education, and research for the last 20 years. When I come home with my infant son, and we needed to move, I was in possession of so much great material that I REFUSED to part with while moving... which led me to realize why I cannot let any of it go... it is my ultimate vice: pretty much anything ocean-related. I completed a Master's in Geography while managing a nature center for the past few years, and remain dedicated to conservation. Maybe this will bring you some cool new ideas on how to enhance your watery life as well. Enjoy!
